Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026.

These terms govern your purchase and use of RevX, including the Family Warehouses, the Project Templates, the Training Library, and the supporting files that ship with every package. By buying a package or using the platform, you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

RevX is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. You pay once for a package and your access does not expire. There is no renewal, no recurring charge, and nothing to cancel. We will never bill your card again for a package you have already bought.

Each package covers the disciplines you select at checkout. Package contents and prices are as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

2. What a package includes

  • Family Warehouses. The published Revit families for your disciplines, downloadable as a warehouse or individually.
  • Project Template. The Revit project template covering your disciplines.
  • Training Library. Streaming access to the video courses for your disciplines.
  • Supporting files. The ProjX example project and its CAD backgrounds, the 2D link model, and the shared parameters file. These ship with every package regardless of discipline.

3. Individual and team licences

You may buy as an individual or for a team. A team purchase covers the number of seats you select at checkout. The buyer owns the team, invites members, and may remove them. Members get access for as long as they are members of that team, and lose it when they are removed.

Seats are for named people within one organisation. A seat is not a shared account, and login credentials must not be passed between people to extend access beyond the seats you bought.

4. What you may do with the content

You may use RevX content in your own project work, including work you deliver to your clients. That means placing families in your models, using and modifying the template on live projects, and issuing drawings and models produced with them. Modified versions of our families remain subject to these terms.

5. What you may not do

  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publish the content, whether modified or not.
  • Include it in any library, template, add-in, or product offered to others, paid or free.
  • Share it outside the organisation and seats covered by your purchase.
  • Share your login, or use one seat to provide access to more people than you bought.
  • Download, record, re-host, or redistribute the training videos.
  • Use automated means to bulk-download the catalogue beyond ordinary use.

Handing a client a model containing our families as part of a project deliverable is fine. Handing a client our family library so they can use it themselves is not.

6. Ownership

We keep all intellectual property rights in the RevX content. Your purchase grants the licence described here and nothing more. You keep all rights in your own projects, models, and drawings.

7. Availability of content

The catalogue changes as we add, revise, and occasionally withdraw content. Two things follow, and we would rather state them plainly than bury them.

Files you have downloaded are yours to keep and keep using under the licence above, including after any change to the catalogue.

Online availability can change. If we withdraw a family, template, or course, for example because of a licensing issue with an underlying manufacturer's data, it stops being available to download or stream, including to people who already bought a package containing it. We would only do this where we have to. Training videos are streaming-only and are always subject to the platform being available.

8. Your account

Keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend an account where we reasonably believe these terms are being breached, in particular the sharing and redistribution rules above.

9. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Prices exclude any taxes that apply to your purchase unless stated otherwise at checkout.

10. Refunds

Because a package gives immediate access to downloadable files, we cannot offer refunds once you have downloaded any of the content. Every download is logged, so whether this applies is a matter of record rather than opinion.

If you have not downloaded anything, contact us and we will refund you in full. A refund removes your access to the package.

None of this limits any refund right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived by agreement.

11. No professional advice

This one matters more than the usual boilerplate, so please read it.

RevX content is a production aid, not engineering. Families, templates, and courses are provided as starting points and teaching material. They are not a substitute for engineering judgement, code compliance review, or manufacturer data, and they are not stamped or certified for any project.

You remain solely responsible for the engineering content and correctness of your work, including verifying that any family, connector, parameter, schedule, or calculation is fit for the project you use it on. Nothing in our content transfers professional responsibility to us.

12. Warranties

We provide the platform and content with reasonable skill and care, but as-is. We do not warrant that content is free of errors, that it suits a particular project, or that the platform will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your purchase or use of RevX is limited to the total amount you have actually paid us.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost data, project delay, or rework costs. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Termination

We may terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms, in particular by redistributing or reselling the content. On termination your access ends and you must stop using and delete the content. Sections 6, 11, 12 and 13 survive termination.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always appears on this page with its date. Changes are not retrospective: the terms that applied when you bought your package continue to govern that purchase, except where we have to change something for legal reasons.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms, or a refund request, go through our contact page.
