Hey guys, Ryan here, also known as MEP Guy, and welcome to the Rev X Foundations Plumbing Course. Rev X is a brand new system that me and my team have been developing for about two years now. We've been working alongside MEP firms, trying to understand the frustrations with Revit, and we've been building them custom families for use on their real projects. So throughout that process, we decided to put everything that we learned together inside a course, but we've used an example project we call Project X. And in this course, we're going to be basically going through Project X from start to finish.
We're gonna show you how to design a complete plumbing system and document it just like professionals do every day in their career. I myself am a plumbing engineer and I've worked for both big firms and small firms, so I know exactly the types of things and the types of projects that you guys are gonna encounter in the real world. So basically this course is supposed to give you all the techniques that you're gonna need to work on plumbing systems inside of Revit. We're gonna start with the domestic water system, then we're gonna place our plumbing fixtures, and then we're gonna route the sanitary and vent system. And everything we do inside of Revit is by using custom families that work exactly the way we want them to.
Now out of the box, Revit really doesn't provide you with any good families, unfortunately. So me and my team have built custom families that work exactly the way we want them to and makes your lives easier.
