So I've got let's see. So I've got my warehouse open, and I've got a project open, just a a blank project, and I'm going to go to a roof plan. So mechanical roof plan. Right. So here we go.

And then I'm gonna go to my mechanical warehouse, and I'm gonna grab my RTU. And I'm just copying control c, and I'm gonna paste onto my roof, my project, control v. Alright. So there's that. And I'm just gonna put I'm gonna put three units on the roof, and then I'm gonna put some exhaust fans on the roof.

So these are these are like green XUEs. Grab a couple different sizes, And I'm gonna paste those. A couple more. Alright. And I was also gonna grab some split system equipment.

I'm gonna grab a heat pump and a couple of outdoor units or indoor units rather. Alright. And then I'm gonna open up a my schedule sheet, my project schedule sheet, then I can come to my warehouse view and deactivate. Deactivate that view. I can grab the schedules that I want.

So here's my split system schedule and drop this on the page. And you'll notice that it's it's populated with the units that have actually dropped onto it. I just don't have the IDs filled out there. I can grab the major air handling equipment. And so we've got lots of options, right, because this family can represent a whole bunch of different kinds of families.

We have the rooftop DX, rooftop chilled water, a makeup air unit, enthalpy core, enthalpy wheel, some simpler versions of these, a makeup air unit. And then this one's like a a it it's got pretty much everything in it. So the idea is you just plop this on and then delete the columns you don't you don't need. Kind of a deleted approach. We're just gonna drop the DX schedule in.

Now we've got our rooftop units, we've got some exhaust fan schedules. Which is down here. Exhaust fan schedule. Copy. Paste. I don't know if you can hear the dogs in the background, Gotta hassle those sled dogs outside howling to the moon. What else did oh, yes. No. Split system. Already got that.

I think that's everything. Yeah. That's everything I pulled over. So so now, you know, pretty quick copy paste. We've got our equipment schedule in here, and it's actually linked to the equipment that's on our sheet. So let's look at the let's look at the exhaust fans. So here, I've got my exhaust fan schedule. It's showing, you know, these are the units, these are the model numbers, and then all the information here. So if I double click on the schedule, now I'm in the schedule editor mode, and I look at the fields button, this list here, this is showing all of the shared parameters that are populating this. So here we go.

Sscom location, that represents that e column e for area. S fan exhaust air airflow, that's CFM. S fan exhaust air SP, that's there we go. Stack pressure, inches bar gauge, RPM, etcetera. So this schedule is looking for these shared parameters.

And if we go to one of our exhaust fans, you'll see that it is got it has got a bunch of shared parameters loaded into it. So if I come here to Airflow and I say this unit is 250, and I go back to my exhaust fan schedule, there it is. The information has been populated. So, again, it's a database. These the the family that we see in the three d views or the two d views, the exhaust fan schedule, they're just user interfaces for looking at the information.

And so if I change it here, 500 here, and I go back to my unit and I click it, I can see that airflow has been updated to 500. So the the fancy term is bidirectionally associative. Just fancy rhythm means BIM stuff. So that basically explained kind of, like, what was going on in here, how to do data entry. I'm gonna show a better method than just typing here in Revit, you know, 0.5 here, etcetera.

So that's bait that's that's that's that's just a quick look at what it looks like, how you would use it on an actual project. And then now what I wanna do is get into we're going to build them from scratch so you can see what's actually going on under the hood how you get at this.
