Let's say that I've got what's the fastest way to do this? We'll create we'll create another we'll create another family to that will represent, like, you've made the potentially ill advised decision to get a family from a manufacturer, and you've dropped it in because it's some real specialty equipment, and you really wanted it to look exactly the way this manufacturer had it, let's say, but you wanted to punctuate with your schedules. And, of course, the manufacturer doesn't have your shared parameters. They might have their own, but you don't wanna use those because their parameters won't work with your schedule. So what do you do?

Well, let's say that I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna do a save as and call this, like, manufacturer's family to to demonstrate that. So, you know, MFRs are to you. Right? I'm gonna push this in the project. You yep.

Because I was in a sheet, it wouldn't let me place a bit of mechanical equipment in a sheet. That's what that error was about. So I activated the view by double clicking it. I type ME. And if you if you type ME to enter in a bit of equipment, it'll default to whichever one you just dropped in. So you can see in the upper right here in the properties, it says the manufacturer's RTU. So here we go. Manufacturer's RTU. But, again, this this is not gonna tag. It's not gonna show up on my schedule. It's not gonna it's not gonna do anything. So, like, ugh, I gotta do what I just did all over again. I gotta I gotta find and push all those in. Well, no. You can just transfer the shared parameters from from this family to this family with d roots.

So go paramanager and families, and I want to go magic r two. This is the one with the parameters. And oh, no. Excuse me. It's the transfer tab, not the family's tab. The transfer tab. So here, I select the family, the from family. So I've selected so I'm gonna move the parameters from this one, and it's this is the list of parameters that are in this family that I can choose which ones I wanna push over. I don't wanna move the family parameters. I just wanna move the shared parameters, so I uncheck family.

So this is just all of the shared parameters, and I'm just gonna select all. Okay. And then over here, this area is selecting the target family. So that's the m m f r's RTU. I hit apply, and it's just gonna take all the shared parameters from the one, dump them in the other, and I'll be able to schedule that family just fine. And it's it's not populating because of the schedule filter. So if I just say RTU here k. Now it's showing up. Let me say this is RTU two. There we go.

Okay. So once you got the system set up, once you've got your shared parameters, once you've got your once you've got your schedules, it's actually not that bad. It can be pretty quick, again, once you kinda get the hang of it and get the hang of your preferred
