Adjust and Delete Levels

So I also have a setup section horizontal here. That's this section. It's wide just in case the building is, you know, kinda far out there. So I can right click it and say go to view. And here's my building, and here's the architect's roof level.

There's that room room lid level, and there's their level one. And then we also have all these other levels at our MEP one, two, three, etcetera. These are the levels in our model, and this is a reference plane that you probably don't need. Let's delete that. So the template comes with two basement levels with nine floor plan levels and two different roof levels.

For this project, all we need is MEP L one and MEP roof main, and we're gonna delete the rest of them. Now note that we have a whole bunch of views set up in the template for every single level, and they are going to go away as we delete these levels because views are associated with levels. So I'm gonna grab the two basement levels. I'm gonna grab MEP 02 and 03. Gonna skip MEP Roof Main.

I'm gonna grab the rest of these. These are just Mezzanine 04 to o nine and a lower roof plan, which we don't need for this project. So I'm gonna delete those by hitting DE, delete, shortcut. Alright. And you notice that it has deleted all of the views out of my of my project browser.

So it's really cleaned up a whole lot. And I can pull these over, get these adjusted closer to the building. And I want to align my MEP roof to the architect's roof, so I'm just going to use the align tool, which is AL or AA. I suggest remapping it from AL to AA. It's also up here, and that's the mirror.

It's up here somewhere. I never click it because you you wanna learn the the keyboard shortcuts as soon as possible. I guess that's it, align. So click the target, then click that one, but we do want to monitor it. So it is feasible that the architect might change the elevation of one or more of their levels and not notify us, and that could cause some problems.

So we want to have a way of being notified by the software if the Revit moves one of their levels. And we can do that by the collaborate tab, copy monitor, select link, mouse over the architect link, select it. And then up here, you wanna click the monitor button, and you select the target to or the level in your view and then the associated view, and then you can do it again for m e p o one, and then hit the green finish button. Now if we click our roof level, you can see this little symbol. That symbol means that it is being monitored.

So if if you get a new architecture model and then open up your MEP model and reload it, you will get a coordination alert, and Revit will say, hey. Something moved. It's this level. Are you okay with this? And it will force you to address the issue. Okay. So we've gotten our levels. And just to note, again, the the architect has this level room lid. We don't need that level. We don't need any views associated with it. So we are not going to associate a level with it in our model. We're just gonna have MEP o one and MEP roof made.
