Okay. Let's get our architectural model linked into our project. Go to the project setup, start here, start here, start here floor plan. And then we're gonna go to the manage tab, manage links button, and here we are. We have the ARC placeholder link.
We've got a set of placeholder links already ready to go and set up. So click on the ARC placeholder link and do reload from, and then browse to the correct folder where your link lives, select it, say open. And while we're here, can clean out the other placeholder links if we don't need them. So for example, Rev X v one two d link model, this is for projects that have CAD backgrounds. We've got another video series on this.
Since this project has Revit backgrounds, Revit models to link in, we're not gonna need this, so we can remove it. Foodservice link, this could be anything, any kind of TI interiors model you might have. I'm gonna say we know that we don't have that coming in in this project, so we can remove that as well. The structural placeholder link, maybe I'll get that in the future. I don't have it at the moment. It's okay to leave these placeholder links in if you're not sure if you're gonna want them later. It does no harm to leave them. So we're gonna leave our structural placeholder link and we've got our projects arc reloaded from, so let's pull that in. Okay. Great.
We've got that and we wanna check out our project base point origin system. So if you don't see this in your view, if you don't see the project origin, which is the red and green arrows, or your project base point, which is this blue circle, or your survey point, which is this triangle, which you can select by a mousing over and hitting tab and selecting. If you don't see those, go to visibility graphics and going down to site category and making sure that internal origin is checked, project base point is checked, and survey point is checked. These are also all visible in three d views or you can see them if they're turned on in three d views, if you wanna see that as well. Okay.
So these all match up visually with where they were in the architects. So we're good here. Generally speaking, you're also gonna want to acquire coordinates from the architect's model. So come up here, manage tab, coordinates, acquire coordinates, and just mouse over the architectural model. If you have multiple models linked in, making sure you're acquiring from the correct one, again by looking down here in the lower left when you're mousing over and selecting and it will say that it's acquired the coordinates from this model.
And that makes sure that the project origin, these arrows are aligned and that the orientation to true north is aligned between the two projects. Now this is a very simple one. The architect's model has their project base point and survey point also set over the project origin at zero zero zero. If they were not, you might choose to align your your project base point and your survey point to match the architects. That's what I typically do. But there is another video for that if you need to do that. Okay. And that's all we need to do here.
