Now let's go back to the Newark level one plan. We need to clean this background up to look exactly the way we want it to look in our Revit model, in our MEP model. So again, you might be able to do some of this you can do this cleanup in CAD, but it's it's less of a known skill of how to do this in Revit, so that's why I'm teaching it here. So obviously we probably want to turn off door tags and dimensions and maybe we want to turn off this section as well. So if I go to visibility graphics in VG, imported categories, you can see that there are categories for the CAD imports.
And if we expand them, these are all of the layers in that CAD background. Now you can probably take a guess or do a guess and check method, but Revit does have a tool for querying what the layer states are. So select the background, and if you try to click on it and it's not selecting, you may have a select links toggle off. So if that's toggled like that, I can't click anything. Same as as if the the select pinned elements toggle is off.
So both of those need to be deactivated so that you can select the CAD background. Then go up to the ribbon and click the query button. We're gonna mouse over one of these dimensions and it'll tell me what it knows about it. So I know I need to turn off ANO dims 96 and a door ident. Oh, and I can hide in view. Oh, that's great. I just learned something. There we go. Hide in view. And what's this? Hide in view. Okay. We will leave that as it is. This looks good. And let's go over to new work roof main.
And we don't have much cleanup to do here, but we wanna get rid of this section. So again, I'm gonna type query. Query, mouse over, and hide in view. And that is all I need to do here. So I'm going to get back to that view and I'm going to say collaborate synchronize with central. And I am done for now cleaning up my two d links model.
