The next thing we need to do is get our sheets set up. So since I'm a mechanical guy, I'm gonna go to my first floor plan here. And so by default, or out of the box, our view template is set to eight inch scale. This is kind of small. I mean, it's a small project, so we might want to change that for this project. And let's see about making it threesixteen. I wonder if we could even do a quarter, quarter inch. Yeah, that actually looks well. This is ArcD. Oh, no, this is ArcE one.

Excuse me. Actually, I wanted yeah. I guess that's alright. We'll we'll keep it that. It's it's a big sheet for a small project. Why don't we change it to ArcD, d, actually? Because that's a good that's a good thing to learn as well. So, currently, all of my title blocks are arc e one, but I would like them to be arc d 24 by 36. Right now, they're 30 by 42. So I can right click this title block and say select all instances in entire project and then just change this to ArcD minimalist.

And we've now got all of them set to ArcD. And so I'm now going to set the the scale to this. I think I'd rather have that be three sixteenths. Yeah. That looks better. Okay. Now this first this first view that I'm gonna set, the setting that I want all of my floor plans across all my disciplines to be in the exact same place on my title block, and Revit has a method for that. It's called guide grids. So I'm, I've got nothing selected. I'm just in my sheet view, and I'm gonna say guide grid, bottom left.

This is another thing we have out of the box in the template. And so this is just a a nonprinting element, which is a crosshairs, and you can move this around, and it will be in a consistent place for all, sheets. So you notice I just moved it here. If we go over to the roof plan and I turn the guide grid on, bottom left, it's in the exact same location. So we can we can get our all of our views set.

So the way to do that is to start with your first floor plan and get it set exactly the way you want it. And I would another trick here is that this view title because we were changing the scale, this view title is now kind of at a nonstandard place. I had to I had to place it manually. So a way that I'm gonna get the view titles to all show up in the exact same location as well is I'm going to get this off of my off of my sheet. So I just remove that view.

I'm gonna come back to sheet views, one met floor plan. I'm gonna re drag and drop it onto my view. And now because it's got that consistent scope box crop region, the view title comes in at a consistent place. So every view that I drop in is gonna be consistent. Now I'm gonna get this in a location that I want.

I'm gonna move it there. And why don't I I'll put it over here. So if we want text notes, we can have them over on the left. That'll be my decision. And and so now that I've got this set, I wanna move my guide grid to a common location. Grid line intersection is a great choice. Now you can either select and then enter the move tool. So I I have mine set to VV, so it's under my left hand, but here it is up in the toolbar. So it won't snap to things here, so you can eyeball it if you're cool with that. If you're not cool with eyeballing it, there's a trick.

So double click into the view. So now I'm in I'm in my view. I'm no longer in the sheet. And create a reference plane. The keyboard shortcut is RP for that. So in place reference plane and create not an x crosshairs, but a I don't know, an angle crosshairs like this. There's a reason for that. And you can leave these in the project. They won't print. And then I'm going to right click and say deactivate view, so I'm back in my sheet space.

And now I can enter the move tool, move this, and it will snap to the end to the intersection of those reference planes. So now my guide grid, my bottom left guide grid, is at the intersection of d one grid lines for mechanical floor plan o one. And I can come to I can come to my next sheet. And that guide grid is in the exact location. In fact, I might as well pin it, I suppose, so it doesn't move.

And, again, because the scale is kind of all wrong, I'm gonna change the scale of this to three sixteenths. Alright. That's good. But now the view title is kind of all messed up in relation to the view, so I'm going to delete that and go to macro plans, drag and drop. And then I can use the move tool from that intersection to the intersection there. And that's now in the exact same place, very clean. So when you're doing a page turn, everything's in the same spot. It's not jumping all around like a Disney cartoon. Ironic. So I can just go through and do that.

And probably on a small project like this, you wouldn't have so many different sheet types. But I'm gonna set all these up for the interest of completion and showing different things. So I'm gonna be taking a little bit more time in this project because I'm showing more aspects of it. You can skip around and skip the parts that are boring to you. But I might speed this up because this is just a bit of repetition.

Oops. All right. So those are my basic sheets. Check out my M001. Yeah.

And so this is set up for a larger sheet. And your firm's front page banner will likely be a little different than this. But you want to get that fit on there. Make sure that it's good. Details, this is just a placeholder detail we have because we don't supply details.

Alright. Cover sheet is fairly optional. We like to put a nice little three d view of of the project on here, but there's nothing to show at the moment, so not not to be used. So we can go through so what I just did for the mechanical is you can do that for the rest of the disciplines and then print your first check plot. So let me synchronize. I'll show you the check plot. I'll show you exporting to PDF, and then I'll go through and do it for the rest of the disciplines, and then we can begin production.
