Hosting a Revit Model on ACC

Okay. So in this video, I'm going to show how to host your your Revit projects on ACC. I'm going to assume you're starting from a new project. You haven't done any setup yet. All you've got is your template, and you've got your architectural and structural linked models. And, of course, you've got your BIM Collaborate Pro license. You've got your hub created. And within your hub, you've got a project set up with a project files, any links folder ready to go. First of all, we need to do some arrangement of files. So we've got this project 42, on ACC.
This is gonna be the project folder for the project that I'm going to be putting on ACC. So we have our incoming files, our architectural and our structural links with names that are funky. And we've got our BIM folder, and this is just how it comes out of the box. Now I'm not going to to repeat all of the model setup procedures. Watch my model setup series for how to do that. That's, I talk about this folder organization. I talk about investigating the architectural linked models. I talk about, you know, how to delete levels and set up everything within the model. Not gonna do that. I'm just gonna get these models put up on the cloud so that you can then start doing that.
So, first, I'm going to go to where my template lives, my Revit template, and I'm going to copy that control c, party 42 on ACC. I'm gonna go to BIM, and I'm going to paste that. And I'm going to call it whatever my naming convention is. Let's call it rev x project 42. It's gonna be MEP, and the Revit version is going to be 23. So now I'm going to open Revit. Twenty twenty three. Here we are in Revit. I'm going to open. And remember, this is not a central model.
This is just a standalone model, so I'm going to open. To host this model on ACC, I go to collaborate tab. I say collaborate. And now it gives me two options, either to collaborate within your network. This is old school, work sharing, creating a central model. That's not what we're doing. We wanna do in the cloud. So we're going to select in the cloud. And now it will give, it will give access to all of the twenty twenty three projects you have available in your hub that you are invited to. And so here I find the correct project, Rev X project 4223.
I select that, and I select the folder I want it in. I want it under project files, and that is the name I want. And so I'm going to hit save. Okay. So now it does take a few minutes, but now it is saved. And you can close that, and you are now in the ACC hosted model. You could do work in here. And to save, you, just synchronize with central, and that synchronizes up to the ACC model. But before we do any more work in here setting up the model, we wanna get our linked models hosted on ACC as well.
