Setting Up Linked Models on ACC

K. So in this video, we are going to set up the linked models on ACC. So what I have here is an architectural and structural model as I might get them from the architect and this and the structural, And I want to get them up on ACC. So I'm going to copy them. I'm gonna come over to my BIM links folder.
I'm gonna paste these in here. I'm gonna rename this because this name is garbage. So I'm gonna call it project 22 arc 23. And structural, I'm gonna call p 32 struct 23. And then I'm going to do basically what I just did for the MEP model except for the r construct and except they are going to go in the links folder on my ACC project.
So I come back to let me grab this path. Copy. And I'm going to open model, type in that path there. So I'm gonna set up the architectural model first, and this is the central model because that's how it was when I got it from the architect. I'm gonna say detach from central and open, and I'm gonna say detach and preserve worksets. It's important to preserve the architect's worksets because likely they're actually using worksets unlike the Rev X template, and that can control visibility and all sorts of other things. We don't wanna mess with that. So okay. We've we're now in the model. We've detached it.
We're in a detached central model. It's saying so up here. And now I can just come to collaborate, collaborate in cloud. It says you have to save the model before you can collaborate with others. Would you like to save it? Fine. Let's save it. Let's let's, choose the name we don't need detached in it. So we're gonna say save. We'll, overwrite it. And once again, we have to choose which hub, which, ACC project we want to save it to. So browse to the correct project. Go to project files. And since this is the linked one, we want this in our links folder, and we're happy with this name. So go ahead and hit save and wait again.
K. So this model is saved to the cloud. You can now collaborate on this model with your product team. So I'm done. I can just close this, and then I'm going to do the same operation with the structural model. So open, struct, detach, open, detach, and preserve worksets. And collaborate, collaborate in cloud. I will choose to save the model, and I'm just going to overwrite this existing structural model here. Careful. You get that straight.
And I will overwrite. Choose the correct project and put it in the appropriate folder. Verify the name is what you want. Hit save. And this one is saved. We can close. And then if I go to my hub on Autodesk, you can see project files. Here's my MEP file. And in the links folder, here are my linked models. And it's just spinning because it's doing a little bit of, I don't know, processing, whatever that means.
So we have now gotten our linked models up on ACC. And in the next video, we will actually finally, open, our MEP model and repath the links, and we will be off to the races.
