Now I'd like to place some sections. So you can see here I am in my mechanical floor plan o one, my sheet floor plan. You can see we have two sections. Now we have a filter set up so that we only see sheet sections, that is sections that are designated to go on sheets. So if we look at the name of this section, this is mechanical section, let me expand this horizontal.
The other one is mechanical section vertical, and these correspond to these two sections. So these are premade in the template, they should already be showing up. They already have few template set to them. So right now if we were to print this set, neither of these sections would show up because they're not referenced, and there's a checkbox for don't print unreferenced views, so these wouldn't actually show up on the sheets. However, once I place this section on a sheet then it would print because it wouldn't be unreferenced.
So let's say for this this section, let's say that I actually that's actually probably a good spot for it, not not a bad spot. So let's place it there and move up the extents there like that. Okay? And then you can double click the section head to go into and see the section. So that looks pretty good as a first pass for a section.
I'm gonna come back and tag this in a second, but what I would like to do is get it on a sheet, and so I've got a sheet designated for that, enlarged plans and sections, and I'm just gonna click and drag that section onto my sheet, and there it is. Okay. So I'm gonna go back to this section, clean that up a little bit, then I'm just gonna tag it just like we did with the floor plan, TG for tagging. And I might use a leader for this. AG two.
It's gonna be AG one. That's line up there. And this is our t one. K. And then we're going to tag some ductwork here.
R a. We can do something like this. And in this section in a section like this, I wouldn't tag I wouldn't tag the air terminals. You can tell that they're air terminals, but it's unclear which one exactly they are, so that's information that I wouldn't that I personally wouldn't put on. This is the purpose of this view is mostly to show like where in space this stuff approximately is.
Do something like this. Maybe something like this. Okay. And then up here, think I'm gonna go like this. Yeah.
Something like that. And that needs don't love that. There we go. That's better. Something like that.
Okay. So this section does a pretty good job of showing what's going on in a section to this space like that. It's on the sheet. Now if we come back to our floor plan, now this section is going to present on the sheet, but we don't want this line going through our space like this. So if you select this section, there's a little squiggle in the middle of it, click that and it lets you pull section head back. So I'm just gonna go like that and like that. Yeah. Something like that. And then once I've got it the way I like, I'm going to pin it. PN for pin.
So it won't be easy to accidentally move. Okay. So that's how to place a section, how to tag it, and how to get it on a sheet.
